Gannon Chemicals Celebrating 25 years in Business.

Gannon Chemicals Ltd. in Ballindine is celebrating 25 years in business this month. Long established as the leader in its field here in Ireland, the company prides itself on the quality of its products and the excellent personal rapport with its many clients countrywide.

It was established back in 1973 by Bill Gannon and has been developing, manufacturing and marketing top quality Irish made cleaning products to a wide range of industries down through the years.  The current owner and managing director is Paul Gannon, a native of Portlaoise and a nephew of the late Bill Gannon. He came to Ballindine in 1980. Paul holds a B.Sc.Degree and a Diploma in Industrial Chemistry as well as an M.B.A. 

The Sales Manager, P.J. O'Gara from Ballindine has been involved with the company for the last eighteen years and has built up a great relationship with their many customers throughout the western region. Freddie Goggins, also a native of Ballindine, heads up the office administration side of the business and is constantly in contact with various customers of the company as they seek advice and submit fresh orders for the company's products. 

Gannon Chemicals has a large customer base and serves a wide range of markets all around the country including manufacturing industries, the hotel and restaurant industry, schools and colleges, Corporations and County Councils, garages and petrol stations, and the food processing industries.

Blending of raw materials

At the company’s premises in Ballindine, located alongside the Claremorris to Tuam railway line, Martin Fallon and Alan Goggins oversee the blending of the various raw materials, which are imported from the Scandinavian countries as well as from England and Germany. It is a process, which has been developed to a very fine degree, and the quality of Gannon Chemicals, which has captured a specialist and niche market over the years, and is recognised at the highest level countrywide.

Product range

While the company manufacture a complete range of cleaning products, a number have become market leaders in their own fields. Insta Brite toilet cleaner is a fast acting cleaner which removes the most stubborn scales and staining. It was one of the first products developed by the company and Insta Brite continues to be a market leader. Traffico is a heavy duty TFR that removes traffic film and leaves a waxed finish on vehicle paintwork. It has become an established favourite with people involved in the vehicle cleaning business over the years.

Customer Care

Gannon Chemicals has an excellent record in customer care. Many companies contact them in relation to advice with regards to specific cleaning problems. The company will review all such queries and offer sound advice. They also operate a product formulation service whereby they will develop a formula to address any unique cleaning requirements of customers.
